Who this covers
This site is the personal portfolio of Alex Gwak (alexgwak.com). It is operated from British Columbia, Canada. Contact: alexgwak2@gmail.com.
What I collect
- Contact form: name, email, company, type of work, and your message. Used to reply to hiring or consulting inquiries.
- Booking: name, email, optional note, chosen time, and timezone. Used to schedule a consultation on Google Calendar and send confirmation email (including cancel / reschedule links).
- Ask (hiring concierge): questions are processed ephemerally for the live reply and are not stored as a chat log. A visitor cookie and, when needed, IP-based park records may be used to limit abuse.
- Locale cookie: remembers the UI language you pick.
- Hosting telemetry: Vercel may collect standard request logs and, if enabled, anonymized Web Analytics / Speed Insights metrics (pages viewed, performance).
Who processes data
- Resend — delivers contact and booking emails.
- Google Calendar — stores the booked event and Meet details.
- Upstash Redis — rate limits, Ask bans / timeouts, and related short-lived keys.
- Vercel — hosts the site and serverless APIs.
- Vercel AI Gateway (and the configured model providers) — generates Ask replies. Prompts are sent for inference; they are not kept as a personal message archive on this site.
Retention
Contact and booking emails remain in my inbox (and calendar) as long as needed to respond and keep the meeting record. Rate-limit and Ask park keys expire automatically (hours to about a day, depending on the action). The locale cookie lasts up to one year. Cancel / reschedule tokens are signed links for that booking and are not a separate marketing list.
Your choices
You can email alexgwak2@gmail.com to ask what contact or booking data I still have, or to request deletion where practical (calendar events can be cancelled; already-sent email may remain in backups). Clear site cookies in your browser to drop the locale and Ask visitor ids.
Changes
